Antique Victorian 15ct gold sapphire and diamond crescent brooch

Dating to the c.1890s this exceptional crescent brooch fits neatly into the Victorian era. Set with 14 oval cut sapphires and 26 mini old cut diamonds in rich and warm 15ct gold. The sapphires are a beautiful velvet blue hue, the largest measures 4 mm x 3 mm. An estimated total of 4.50 carats sapphires, and 0.58 carats diamonds. With a pierced detail gallery and a bar and c clasp to the reverse. A beautiful example of antique English jewellery.
