Antique Victorian 18ct gold pearl and diamond necklace, c.1880s

Dating to the last quarter of the 19th century, this exceptional piece fits neatly into the Victorian era. Beautifully designed as an 18ct gold articulated necklace set with half pearls and diamonds throughout, with an exquisitely detailed graduated line of floral clusters and drops. Each floral cluster is centred with a sparkling old mine cut diamond, each with an adorable open culet. The diamonds range from 3 mm to 3.5 mm and the pearls measure 2.25 mm to 3.25 mm. Finished with a push close concealed clasp with safety chain. A fabulous and refined example of antique English 18ct gold jewellery that would make a perfect Wedding day accessory and heirloom.
