Antique 9ct gold and platinum old cut diamond brooch pin, extender, c.1900 – 1920

Dating to c.1900 – 1920, this very petty piece fits between the end of the Victorian and Edwardian eras. Designed as a central cluster of old cut diamonds with beautiful milgrain platinum fronted setting, flanked by an elegant tapered bar to either side. The diamonds are very bright and lively and estimated to be a total of 0.30 carats. With a pin and an early handmade safety catch to the reverse. Can be worn as a brooch or as an extender for a chain. Please note the box and chain shown are for demonstration purposes. A beautifully made piece of antique English 9ct gold and platinum jewellery.
