Classic 18ct gold three stone sapphire and diamond cluster ring

A beautifully designed 18ct gold ring, claw set with a line of three oval cut sapphire in an east west orientation. The sapphires measure 6mm x 4mm and 4mm x 3mm respectively and are a gorgeously rich twilight blue hue. Surrounded by a halo of mini diamonds in a platinum fronted setting. Flanked by split detail shoulders. On a plain 18ct gold shank. The cluster measures 9mm x 13mm. Dates to the mid 20th century, c. 1960s. A visually pleasing twist on a classic design.
