Classic 18ct gold sapphire and diamond cluster engagement ring

Dating to c.1980s, this beautiful piece has been classically designed as a sapphire and diamond cluster ring. Claw set with an oval shape sapphire and a frame of mini brilliant cut diamonds. The sapphire is a rich and deep peacock blue, somewhere between twilight and velvet with a hint of teal and green undertones. The sapphire is estimated to be 2.20 carats. The ring face measures 14 mm x 12 mm. On a plain shank. This piece would make a perfect vintage style engagement ring.
