Dating to the early 20th century, this sweet antique piece fits neatly into the Edwardian era, c.1910. Designed as a shimmering opal and pearl lavalier pendant. Claw set with a central 9 mm x 7 mm oval shaped opal cabochon. The opal displays a strong play of beautiful colour. Surrounded and framed by sweeping, curvaceous lines of creamy white pearls, giving this Edwardian pendant a feminine appeal. The small pearl drop suspended below is likely a slightly later replacement. Please note the chain and box shown are for demonstration purposes. Maker’s mark HJC. A beautiful example of antique English jewellery.
Measurements: pendant measures 26 mm x 21 mm, total drop including the bail and suspended pearl measures 44 mm
