A fabulous, American diamond ring dating to the Art Deco era. Designed with a central old cut diamond that sits high in a sculptural claw setting, allowing the light to shine through. Beautifully detailed with openwork filigree that resembles fine lace. The 4 mm diamond is bright and lively, estimated to be 0.30 carats. A wonderful example of early 20th century jewellery design, the likes of which I haven’t seen before. Beautifully reminiscent of inspiring and influential architectural designs of the time, with visual nods to buildings such the Chrysler Building in New York. Dates to c. 1930s. Please note the box shown is for demonstration purposes.
