An exquisite example of a Victorian horseshoe ring, dating to the c.1860s to 1880s. Set with cornflower blue sapphires and old cut diamonds in a pretty alternating pattern. The setting is open backed, allowing the light through and creates gorgeous scintillation. The horseshoe, set in silver, measures 14 mm x 12 mm. With a sweet pierced gallery and a plain shank. A fine example of antique Victorian 9ct gold jewellery. Hand engraved names Molly and Maurice to the inside of the shank.
