Antique Victorian 18ct gold emerald and old cut diamond cluster ring, 1890

A beautiful and classically designed antique Victorian 18ct gold ring dating to 1890. Claw set with a central oval cut emerald, surrounded by a halo of sparkling old cut diamonds. The glowy 7 mm x 5 mm emerald is a rich and vivid green, with good transparency. Surrounded by 12 x individually set hand cut diamonds, totalling an estimated 0.60 carats. The ring face measures 14 mm x 12 mm. With tapered shoulders and a grooved detail shank. This visually pleasing and classically designed piece would make a perfect antique engagement ring.
